A Matter Of Life Or Death 2
Men live two different kinds of lives. One is a life with Jesus in it and the other is a life without Him. The two kinds of life are so different that God calls one of them life the other one death.
1 John 3:14: We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
Romans 6:11: Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 6:13: Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
Individuals who receive Jesus have life and individuals who reject Him remain spiritually dead.
1 John 5:12: He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
We have physical bodies and we have spirits.
Romans 8:16: The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
2 Corinthians 4:16: For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
The generation of believers that will still be physically alive when Jesus returns to meet them in the air will not die physically. They shall be changed.
1 Corinthians 15:51: Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
1 Thessalonians 4:15: For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
There will be two different judgments and two different resurrections from the dead, the resurrection of the spiritually alive unto eternal life in Heaven and the resurrection of the spiritually dead unto judgment and eternal torment in the Lake of Fire called the second death.
Acts 24:14: But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets: 15 And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.
Revelation 20:5: But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. 11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
If you have not yet received Jesus and eternal life, do it without delay.
