Able Ministers

2 Corinthians 3:5: Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; 6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

1 Timothy 1:12: And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;

Everyone who is indwelt by the Holy Spirit CAN be an able minister. (servant) If we are to serve Him we MUST believe that God is able to make us able ministers. If we doubt that, we will not serve Him. It may be easy for new believers to doubt God*s power to make them able ministers, but no one is a new believer for very long, although some will behave like a new believer for a long time. Some begin serving Him instantly and never doubt His power. For others of us it can take some time, but we should all get to the place where we believe in it and serve Him. How far along are you in believing that God can make you an able minister? If you are not serving Him, it is not His fault. It is yours. We may not be able to do what we want to do but we can ALWAYS do what He wants us to do. If you are not serving Him, your faith has not grown as much as it can and should.
