Believers Are To Be Servants

There is no getting around it, believers of all ages and dispensations are to be servants of God. Some who the Bible calls servants are well known and some were so little known that their names are not even mentioned. I believe that everyone who receives Jesus should be more of a servant than he was before. Many unbelievers reject Jesus simply because they don*t want to be servants of anyone but self. This is the difference between unbelievers and believers. Unbelievers don*t want to obey anyone but self. This is one difference between spiritual Christians and carnal ones. This is the difference between individuals that are blessed and joyful and those that are not.

Revelation 15:3a: And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, . . .

Daniel 3:26a: Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, . . .

Daniel 9:10: Neither have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.

Colossians 4:12a: Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, . . .

Titus 1:1a: Paul, a servant of God, . . .

James 1:1a: James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, . . .

1 Peter 2:15-16: For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: 16 As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.

2 Peter 1:1: Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, . . .

Jude 1:1a: Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, . . .

Revelation 1:1: The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

Romans 6:17-18: But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. 18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

Acts 20:18-19a: And when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons, 19 Serving the Lord with all humility of mind, . . .

It is worth noting that the Apostle Paul spent a couple of years in the desert alone with the Lord. I believe that the more time we spend alone with the Lord the better servants we will be. Are you a servant?
