Better Answers Than Our Prayers
When the Holy Spirit guides our prayers, they are always answered exactly as we prayed them. When we pray without His guidance, His answers are always better than our prayers.
Romans 8:26: Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
1 John 5:14: And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
The Holy Spirit has NEVER helped us to pray for anything that was not the will of the Father. Our flesh has NEVER prayed anything that was in the will of the Father.
Romans 8:7: Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
We MUST put on the whole armor of God, study the Bible and pray in the Spirit.
Ephesians 6:13-18: Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Have you ever noticed that when God answered a prayer of yours, His answer was slightly different and better than what you prayed? If you have never been aware that His answers are better than your prayers, I feel sorry for you. You have missed some wonderful truth about God. He ALWAYS knows better than us and He can ALWAYS do better than what we want. He knows when it is best to answer our prayers with a yes, a no or a wait.
Ephesians 3:20: Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
Isaiah 55:8-9: For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
