Bringing A Curse On Themselves
Many Bible scholars and teachers believe, as I do, that a sure way to be blessed of God is to be a blessing to the people of Israel and a sure way to bring a curse on yourself is to be anti-Israel.
Genesis 12:1-3: Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father*s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: 2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: 3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
The blessing and cursing were passed on to Isaac and to Jacob, and I believe to the people of Israel.
Genesis 27:29: Let people serve thee, and nations bow down to thee: be lord over thy brethren, and let thy mother*s sons bow down to thee: cursed be every one that curseth thee, and blessed be he that blesseth thee.
Numbers 24:5, 9b: How goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, and thy tabernacles, O Israel! 9b: . . . Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee.
Psalms 122:6: Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
