Changes

2 Corinthians 5:17: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

The new creature is a changed creature in all things. His eternal destiny is changed from Hell to Heaven. He is changed from an enemy of God to a child of God. He is changed from an unrepentant sinner to an individual who wants to stop sinning and please God. His heart, his mind, his speech, his desires and his behavior will change. How much has receiving Jesus changed you?

Psalms 55:19: God shall hear, and afflict them, even he that abideth of old. Selah. Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God.

The one thing about us that God does not change when we receive Jesus into our hearts is our flesh. And He will even change that at the last trump.

Romans 8:7: Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

1 Corinthians 15:52: In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Even though our flesh, our bodies, have not been changed by the Lord we are to present them to Him and use them according to His perfect will.

Romans 12:1: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

1 Corinthians 6:20: For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God*s.

Ever feel like you have to drag your body out of bed? Living for the Lord is rather like dragging your body out of bed and dragging it all day long to the places where God wants it and forcing it to do what God wants. God is immeasurably stronger than our flesh and He helps us to drag it along.

2 Corinthians 4:7: But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

1 Thessalonians 2:13: For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

God can do glorious things through our bodies. The fruit of the Spirit can flow through us instead of the fruit of the flesh. That is an incredible change.

Galatians 5:16: This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24 And they that are Christ*s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
