If you are anything like the rest of us, you probably know exactly how it feels to have your day hijacked. Maybe you know how it feels to have a conversation hijacked. Maybe you know how it feels to have your schedule hijacked. Maybe you know how it feels to have your entire day hijacked! Have you ever been talking to someone, and a third person enters the conversation and steers it in a completely different
direction before you can grab the reins back?
Have you ever had your schedule hijacked? At the busiest moment of your day, in the middle of your agenda, someone with all the time in the world and no agenda himself feels the need to *drop in* and completely hijacks your schedule!
Maybe your whole life feels as though it has been hijacked, and it seems like everything is conspiring against you. It is important to remember that sometimes when it seems like your day has been hijacked, it is really God taking the rule.
In I Samuel chapter 9, Saul was chasing donkeys that had escaped, and he wound up at the prophet Samuel*s house. It wasn*t a mistake that the donkeys escaped, and it wasn*t a mistake that Saul met Samuel. God can see farther and more clearly than we can. When you feel like you are *chasing donkeys,* it might be that God is leading you!
What seemed like an insignificant, frustrating detour was actually God*s plan all along! God told the prophet the exact date (tomorrow), time (about this time), and man (a man out of the land of Benjamin) he was to anoint as king. Saul wasn*t going to be anointed king; he was chasing donkeys! Saul didn*t plan on going to Samuel*s place, but God did. When Saul was chasing donkeys, God was leading Saul.
Your day may be no different than Saul*s. Remember that God has a plan. The donkeys you are chasing today may be God*s way of leading you!
