Choose You This Moment

Ultimately there are only two options, two ways to go, God*s or Satan*s. Every heart will have as its main influence one or the other. Every life will be mainly in the control of one or the other. Every decision will be according to the will of one or the other.

Joshua 24:15: And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

For a Christian it could just as accurately say choose you this moment whom you will serve. We have a multitude of choices to make each day. When we are wise we will ask the Lord how He wants us to decide about every decision. Lest we believe that there are insignificant little decisions that don*t matter one way or the other, consider these passages:

Matthew 12:36: But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

Psalms 37:23: The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.

Even little things like our words and our steps are God*s concern and should be ours.

Isaiah 53:6: All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Even though there are billions of ways to go astray, any way that is away from God is Satan*s way.

Unbelievers don*t have the two options, they always go Satan*s way. Only after they have surrendered to Jesus do they truly have the two options. You should rejoice if you have received Jesus and have the two options.

Ultimately God*s absolute will shall be done. He limits Satan and unbelievers. Even though His absolute will shall be done, Satan and unbelievers will be judged because they were not willing to be in His will. Believers are willingly in God*s will (when they are wise) while unbelievers are unwillingly in His will.
