God is the source of all power. Only He can exercise it. Only He can provide all of the power that is essential for mankind and is unavailable from any other source. Christ has the power to forgive our sins, dwell in our hearts, cleanse our hearts and make us new creatures. He uses His power to keep us alive in this life and will use it to make us perfect when He comes to take us to heaven.
Romans 13:1: Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

Luke 5:24: But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house.
John 1:12: But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

2 Corinthians 5:17: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
1 Peter 1:3-5: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
Jude 1:24-25: Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
It is your call. You can ignore God*s power or be blessed by it. It is very gentle and resistible here on earth. It will some day be irresistible. It would be wise for all of us to stop resisting it.
