He Must Reign
1 Corinthians 15:22: For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ*s at his coming. 24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. 25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
When must He reign? He must reign till he hath put all enemies under his feet. That means from NOW until He hath put all enemies under his feet. Why must He reign? He must reign because He is the only one who can reign. He is the only one who can make us alive in Christ. Christ is the only one who can deliver up the kingdom to God. And He is the only one who could put down all authority and power. Where must He reign? Over your life and over mine.
Ephesians 1:19: And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: 22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, 23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
Ephesians 3:21: Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
Titus 2:12: Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
We must stop thumbing our noses at Him and let Him reign. And we must do that every day, perhaps many times every day. If we are the least little bit intelligent and observant we will notice that the vast majority of things that happen in our lives are out of our control. This article is aimed at me just as much as it is aimed at you.
