His Kingdom Ruleth Over All

Psalms 103:19: The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.

Romans 5:17: For if by one man*s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

How can the Kingdom of God rule over all and yet we can reign in life? That can only happen if we reign in compliance with the Kingdom of God, if our reigning fits into the Kingdom. We reign by one, Jesus Christ, who is the King.

Satan does not want you to reign in life. If you are under his control, even though you don*t know it or admit it, he is reigning in your life. The freedom you might feel from being under his control instead of God*s control is false freedom. The things you are free from are righteousness and eternal blessing. He can never and will never make you righteous. He can never make you alive unto God. He will fight against that with all his strength. Satan can never and will never free us from the prison of our own depravity. He can never and will never free us from judgment.

Jesus Christ frees us and gives us the ability to do right, to reign over our sinful nature. He frees us from the prison of never being able to do the right thing. He frees us from our depravity. He frees us from unrighteousness. And He frees us from judgment!

We cannot escape the rule of God. We can only try and trying to is foolish. If we seek to get out from under His rule, what we get out of is His blessing. If men stay out there, they will still be under His rule, but they will be out of His blessing and into everlasting fire.

Matthew 25:41: Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Mark Guy Pearse:

His kingdom ruleth over all . . . therefore thou canst find nothing which is not matter for praise, since there is nothing which is not the matter of thy Lord*s gracious permission, or planning, or control. Over all . . . nowhere canst thou step outside His realm, nor in anything get beyond His care and government. Over all . . . therefore take all as from God; hold all as from God; and by thy gratitude give all back to God again, and thus complete the circle, making Him the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the Ending of all things.
