The Holy Trinity And The Bible

Hebrews 12:2: Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith. If we have never received Jesus we can only have what the Bible calls vain faith.

1 Corinthians 15:1: Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

Romans 10:17: So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Faith comes by hearing the Bible. Most of the world is without the Bible. Most individuals in the world are without the Bible. Multitudes reject the Bible.

Ephesians 2:8: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

John 11:26: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

1 Corinthians 15:22: For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

We could not make ourselves alive physically and we cannot make ourselves alive spiritually.

John 6:44: No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 14:6: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Hmmm. The Father draws us to Jesus and Jesus makes it possible for us to come unto the Father.

Titus 3:4: But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, 5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

John 3:6: That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

1 Peter 1:5: Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

We need to be drawn by the Father, we need to be made alive spiritually, we need to hear the Bible, we need Jesus and the faith He authors and we need the Holy Spirit to be shed on us abundantly. We who are saved have had God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit and the Bible involved and working together to save us and keep us. How marvelous is that?
