How Do We Love Our Neighbors

Luke 10:27: And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

When I love myself I forget about the needs of others. When I love others I forget about my needs. (God promises to meet my needs anyway. And He knows what I need better than I know what I need.) When I love myself I want others to be concerned about me. When I love others I am concerned about them. When I love myself I want others doing things for me. When I love others I want to do things for them. When I love myself I will want others to be willing to suffer for me, be inconvenienced for me and be generous with me. When I love others I will be willing to suffer for them, be inconvenienced for them and be generous with them. When I love myself I want others to give to me. When I love others I want to give to them. When I love myself I protect myself. When I love others I protect them. When I love myself I am self-centered. When I love others I am centered in them. When I love myself I am selfish. When I love others I am unselfish.

When I love myself I want God taking care of me. When I love others I want God taking care of them. When I love myself I pray for myself. When I love others I pray for them.
