In All Thy Ways1 Thessalonians 5:18: In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Proverbs 3:6: In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Hebrews 13:21: Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
In every thing, In all thy ways and in every good work do not leave us any wiggle room. We ought to acknowledge Him at all times, in all places and in everything we do. He owns us 24/7, He is all-powerful 24/7, He knows best 24/7, He does best 24/7 and He loves us 24/7.
Jeremiah 31:3: The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
In our flesh we all want to exclude God as much as possible. Our flesh wants to forget about Him.
Romans 1:28: And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
It may shock you to know that your flesh is just as evil as all the evil people listed in Romans 1 and that it will do evil just as much as you let it. Before we received Jesus it was just the Holy Spirit that restrained us from being murderers, terrorists or anything evil that we can think of. It may also shock you to know that your flesh actually always prefers evil.
Romans 7:18: For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
Jeremiah 3:5: Will he reserve his anger for ever? will he keep it to the end? Behold, thou hast spoken and done evil things as thou couldest.
Jeremiah 10:23: O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.
The Lord wants to direct every thought, every step and everything we do and He is able to. We desperately need His guidance and to follow it. When we get to Heaven we will be perfect beings thinking perfect thoughts and doing everything perfectly. The closer we get to that here and now the better.
2 Corinthians 10:5: Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Psalms 37:23: The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
Titus 2:11: For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
Hebrews 13:20: Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, 21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
It is easier to believe that He will change you in the future than that He is able to change your life here and now but with His help we can keep our flesh under control. If you have received Jesus you should be aware that He has changed your life and that He wants to change it even more. Though our flesh keeps us from being perfect here and now, that is what He deserves and it should be our goal.
Isaiah 41:10: Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Romans 7:24: O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? 25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
