The Jesus Of The Bible
The Jesus of the Bible makes sinners into new creatures and changes their lives. Changing people and lives is His business. If your Jesus has not changed your life, you do not have the Jesus of the Bible.
2 Corinthians 5:17: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
If there is nothing of you and your life that passed away you do not have the Jesus of the Bible. If there is nothing of you and your life that have become new you do not have the Jesus of the Bible.
Galatians 6:15: For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
It doesn*t matter if you have been circumcised or not, you need to be a new creature. It doesn*t matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile, you need to be a new creature. That covers all of us. It doesn*t matter who you are, you need to be a new creature.
1 John 4:17: Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
If you and your life have not been changed here and now and in this world, you do not have the Jesus of the Bible. If you want to postpone His changing you until after your death, you do not have the Jesus of the Bible. After your death will be too late to be changed.
Hebrews 9:27: And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
You cannot change yourself or your life. An alarming number of people believe that they can change themselves sufficiently to please God.
Jeremiah 13:23: Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.
Psalms 55:19b: . . . Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God.
If your personality and your life have not been changed by Divine power, no one should believe that you are a Christian bound for Heaven. You should not even believe it yourself. And we haven*t even mentioned the growth that should happen to individuals who have become alive unto God. Spiritually dead people don*t grow spiritually. Individuals who are alive spiritually should grow spiritually.
1 John 3:14: We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
