Jesus Prayed For YOU

If you have believed on Him through the words of His Apostles.

John 17:20: Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; 21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. 22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: 23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

And He is still praying for those who have come to God by Him.

Hebrews 7:25: Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

More good news: I do not believe Jesus has ever prayed against the perfect will of God the Father and I do not believe any prayer of the Lord Jesus has ever gone unanswered.

More good news: The Holy Spirit helps when we don*t know how to pray and He too intercedes for us.

Romans 8:26: Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

He instructed us to pray.

1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing.

More good news: Jesus taught us the most important things to pray for.

Matthew 6:9: After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

First and last in the prayer is worship of God, sandwiched in the middle of the worship of God are prayer for His will, for Him to meet our needs, for forgiveness (our greatest need), and His leadership and deliverance. Jesus prays and teaches us to pray, the Holy Spirit prays and helps us to pray and we are instructed to pray without ceasing. Even I have learned that prayer is important.
