Home Search Topics Contact About | Just JesusThere is a hymn in many old hymn books by George O. Webster and Charles H. Gabriel. The title of the hymn is a very simple statement. But it states the most crucial need of any man*s life, or for that matter, of any man*s eternity. I Need JesusI need Jesus, my need I now confess; I John 5:12: He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. John 14:6: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh to the Father, but by me. Acts 4:12: Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. We need Jesus, nothing more, nothing less, nothing else. We need the Jesus of the Bible, not an imitation. We need Jesus, who is the Son of God and God the Son. There is no suitable substitute. We need 100% of Him, not just a little of Him. Jesus minus any part of Him is not Jesus. Jesus plus anything else is not Jesus. You will never have an excess of Him. He is a resource you will never exhaust. He will always be enough. A life with Jesus in it is the greatest adventure a man can have. Let*s not drag our feet, let*s get on with that adventure. Don*t settle for less. It*s a great honour and privilege to be saved by Jesus Christ. Be mindful also that the majority of mankind doesn*t get that honour and privilege. Matthew 7:13-14: Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Revelation 1:8: I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. When He says He is the beginning and the ending, it is implied also that He is everything in between. Jesus is all we need. Can you sing this wonderful old hymn by Rufus H. McDaniel and Charles H. Gabriel and mean it: Since Jesus Came Into My HeartWhat a wonderful change in my life has been wrought Here are some nuggets you might enjoy that might help you know Jesus better. They are quotes by J. Vernon McGee on his radio program Through The Bible Radio.
