Labourers Together With God 3
1 Corinthians 3:9: For we are labourers together with God: ye are God*s husbandry, ye are God*s building.
When I was a lad, I was called the strike-out king by my playmates. I couldn*t hit a baseball or softball. When we chose up teams, I was most always the last one chosen. That hurt. Especially since my older brothers were exceptionally skilled and athletic. When the high school or men*s baseball teams cracked bats they gave them to those of us who were too young to play. I received some of those broken bats and taped them up. I would toss rocks up in the air and use those bats to hit the rocks into some trees. I loved to hit those rocks and after a lot of practice I was able to hit baseballs too. I was no longer called the strike-out king and I was no longer the last one picked for a baseball team.
I am so glad that God does not choose us or save us based on our ability. HE chooses us and HE enables us.
1 Corinthians 1:26: For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
1 Timothy 1:12: And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
What a privilege!!!

Acts 18:10: For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.
Matthew 28:20: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Hebrews 13:5: Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
I am with you alway. F. B. Meyer: . . .
in winter days, when joys are fled; in sunless days, when the clouds return again and again after rain; in days of sickness and pain; in days of temptation and perplexity, as much as in days when the heart is as full of joy as the woodlands in spring are full of song. That day never comes when the Lord Jesus is not at the side of saints. Lover and friend may stand afar, but He walks with them through the fires; He fords with them the rivers; He stands by them when face to face with the lion. We can never be alone. We must always add His resources to our own when making our calculations.
