Levels Of Blessing
Matthew 5:45: That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
Individuals who have not received Jesus only have temporary blessings. They have no eternal spiritual blessings whatsoever.
There is some overlap and variation with regard to the level of blessing of Christians. With us, knowing why one is blessed above another is not an exact science. With God it is very exact. He knows who to bless the least and who to bless the most.
Individuals who have received Jesus, given their hearts and lives to Him and become children of God but who have rejected His chastisement and become continually unrepentant about living in their sin are at the lowest possible level of spiritual blessings. Christians who do not attend church, do not read their Bibles, do not pray and are not deeply involved in sin may be one level above the lowest possible level of blessing.
Christians who read their Bibles and pray but do not attend a Biblical church at all may be another level up. Christians who read their Bibles, pray and attend the Sunday morning services at a Biblical church may be another level up. Christians who read their Bibles, pray, attend Sunday School and worship services may be another level up. Christians who read their Bibles, pray, attend Sunday School, attend a morning worship service and the evening service may be another level up. Christians who read their Bibles, pray, attend Sunday School, attend the morning worship service, the evening service and the midweek service may be at the highest level of blessing.
We do understand that there are circumstances of life that can prevent some of these faithful practices. Those who have a desire for the higher levels of blessing can get on a higher level of blessing than those without that desire. The greater the commitment and surrender to the Lord the greater the blessing. The higher the level of blessing in the Bible, in prayer and inside a Biblical church, the higher the level of blessing in our lives outside of the church. So which level of blessing are you on?
