Life BEFORE Conception
It is often said that life begins at conception. But God says a lot of interesting things about us before our conception.
Jeremiah 1:5: Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
Hmmm. God told Jeremiah that He knew him before He formed him in the belly.
Isaiah 49:5: And now, saith the LORD that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the LORD, and my God shall be my strength.
Galatians 1:15-16: But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother*s womb, and called me by his grace, 16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:
God had a plan and a purpose for Jeremiah, Isaiah and Paul while they were yet in the womb.
Ephesians 1:4: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Before conception a living sperm swims to a living egg, attaches to it and a person is formed. Interestingly God says some interesting things about individuals even before that happens.
Genesis 35:10-11: And God said unto him, Thy name is Jacob: thy name shall not be called any more Jacob, but Israel shall be thy name: and he called his name Israel. 11 And God said unto him, I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins;
1 Kings 8:18-19: And the LORD said unto David my father, Whereas it was in thine heart to build an house unto my name, thou didst well that it was in thine heart. 19 Nevertheless thou shalt not build the house; but thy son that shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house unto my name.
Hmmm. Kings would come out of the loins of Jacob and Solomon who would build the house of God would come out of the loins of David. It doesn*t seem like those kings or Solomon were created at birth. They just came out of their fathers* loins.Genesis 3:14-15: And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: 15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
God also had plans for the seed (egg) of the woman. This prophecy is about Jesus.
Genesis 1:28: And God blessed them, (Adam and Eve) and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Genesis 9:1: And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
You cannot multiply something that does not exist. No matter how large a number you multiply by zero you get zero. Life comes from life. We existed in the mind of God, a solid place to exist, before the foundation of the world and call it what you will, we existed in the DNA (the blueprint) of Adam and Noah.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-2a: To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: 2 A time to be born, and a time to die; . . .
Every purpose under heaven means that God has chosen the time for each of us to be born. There was a long process for each of us before that time. Stopping God*s process in the last nine months is murder. Thou shalt not kill.
