Love Is Unselfish

1 Corinthians 13:4: Charity (agape love) suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; 6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

1 Corinthians 10:24: Let no man seek his own, but every man another*s wealth. 33 Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.

Philippians 2:4: Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

1 Peter 4:10: As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

We need to be good stewards of what God gives us but when we fully believe that God shall supply all of our need we don*t have to exhaust our energy on being selfish.

Philippians 4:19: But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

2 Corinthians 9:8: And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

Proverbs 11:24: There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty. 25 The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.

Proverbs 28:27: He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.

Love is not lazy either. It is willing to work to support oneself, one*s family and others in need. Your most desperate need was for salvation. If you rightly consider it, you will know that God went to a lot of trouble to save you and you will be willing to go out of your way for others.

Ephesians 4:28: Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

Acts 20:35: I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

James 2:8: If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
