Only One Legitimate Fear
Ultimately we mortals have only one thing to fear, rejecting Christ. If we have Him we have everything and there is nothing we need to fear.
John 1:11-13: He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Have you received Christ? Has He put your legitimate fear into the past? If your legitimate fear is in the past then all of your other fears are illegitimate.
Ultimately there are only two types of people, transgressors or comers.
Proverbs 13:15: Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard.
Matthew 11:28-30: Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Transgressors have a hard way. Comers to Christ have an easy yoke and a light burden. Transgressors have everything to fear. Comers to Christ have nothing to fear. Why be afraid?
