The Only Safe Place
The only safe place is in the will of God. Great danger lurks outside of it. We should not want to be outside of His will, even for a moment. Being outside of His will is really the only thing a believer should fear.
1 Peter 5:8: Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Psalms 4:8: I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
Proverbs 21:31: The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.
Psalms 119:117: Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe: and I will have respect unto thy statutes continually.
Proverbs 18:10: The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.
Proverbs 29:25: The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.
2 Samuel 22:1: And David spake unto the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD had delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul: 2 And he said, The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; 3 The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence. 4 I will call on the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies. 5 When the waves of death compassed me, the floods of ungodly men made me afraid; 6 The sorrows of hell compassed me about; the snares of death prevented me; 7 In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears.
Matthew 10b: . . . Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Romans 8:31b: . . . If God be for us, who can be against us?
Psalms 37:23: The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. 24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.
Isaiah 41:10: Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Romans 8:28: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Do we love God, are we answering His call, are we fulfilling His purpose for our lives and are we staying in His will?
