Rejecting Christ

The problem with unbelievers is that they are willing to have Jesus save them from Hell but they do not want Him changing their lives and sinful habits. They wouldn*t mind having Him as a Savior but they don*t want His authority over them. They wouldn*t mind having eternal life, but they don*t want it here and now. They don*t mind that He will be sovereign in Heaven but they want to be sovereign over their lives here and now. They might want to be free of sin in Heaven but they don*t want to be free from it now. They do not understand that Hell is a totally loveless place. Rejecting Jesus is rejecting love . . . forever.

I pray that you are not one of those who reject Him. I pray that you are a Christian who fights for Jesus and not against Him. I pray that you are a Christian who weeps over the plight of unbelievers and prays for them. I pray that you fight for the souls of men. The following passages are some of the most disturbing in the Bible.

John 3:19: And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

John 1:4: In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

Luke 19:14: But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.

Acts 13:46: Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.

Acts 26:28: Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.

Mark 10:21: Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. 22 And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.

Isaiah 28:12: To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

Matthew 23:37: O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

Zechariah 7:11: But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear.

Matthew 7:23: And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Hebrews 12:16: Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. 17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.

Acts 7:51: Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.

Romans 1:24: Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

1 Corinthians 16:22: If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.

Hebrews 10:31: It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
