Satisfied

Would you describe yourself as satisfied or dissatisfied? If we study what the Bible teaches about those things we can be helped. I personally find that when I am out of the will of God I am dissatisfied and when I am in the will of God I am satisfied. There is no satisfaction we can compare with the satisfaction of being at peace with our Creator. Nothing is satisfying when we are out of sync with Him. The Bible speaks more eloquently and more completely about the causes of dissatisfaction and satisfaction than I can so I shall get out of the way and let the Word of God speak to your heart.

Proverbs 27:20: Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied.

Ecclesiastes 4:8, 5:10: There is one alone, and there is not a second; yea, he hath neither child nor brother: yet is there no end of all his labour; neither is his eye satisfied with riches; neither saith he, For whom do I labour, and bereave my soul of good? This is also vanity, yea, it is a sore travail. 5:10 He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity.

Psalms 17:15: As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.

Psalms 36:8: They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.

Psalms 37:19: They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

Psalms 63:3-5: Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. 4 Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name. 5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:

Psalms 65:4: Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.

Proverbs 12:14: A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompence of a man*s hands shall be rendered unto him.

Proverbs 14:14: The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself.

Proverbs 19:23: The fear of the LORD tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.

Jeremiah 31:14: And I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, saith the LORD.

Joel 2:26: And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.

1 Timothy 6:6: But godliness with contentment is great gain.
