Take Charge Of Your Life

Romans 5:17: For if by one man*s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

Since I received Jesus I have more self-control that I ever had before. He strengthens me. I find that the more I surrender to Him the more self-control He gives me. Without Him we have a zero chance of being in charge of our own lives. The only way you can take charge of your life is to surrender it to the Lord Jesus. The more of your life you surrender to Him, the more you will be in control of it. The more of it you surrender to Him the more of it He will help you control. Without Him we are slaves to sin. Without Him sin is in control of our lives. The more of our lives we surrender to Jesus, the less we will be slaves of sin. The most important reigning we can do is to reign over sin. The most important reigning in life is to do the right things. Satan wants us to be his slaves forever. He is a cruel taskmaster whose main desire is to murder us.

Romans 6:16: Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

Take charge of your life by surrendering it to Christ, because Satan wants to be in charge of it and before you received Christ, he was. He wanted us to believe we were in charge of them ourselves but he lied to us about that.

John 8:44: Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Before you received Christ you didn*t even have a life to be in charge of. You were spiritually dead.

1 John 3:14: We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

The spiritual life that Jesus places in us when we receive Him is stronger than the mere physical life we had before and is able to take charge of our physical and fleshly life.
