The God Of Order
1 Corinthians 14:33: For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
The more confusion there is in our lives, the farther we are from God and His will, although sometimes He will permit confusion in our lives to make us willing to seek His will and His order. Confusion can cause men to trust the Lord or it can become judgmental.
2 Samuel 23:5: Although my house be not so with God; yet he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure: for this is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he make it not to grow.
Ezra 9:7: Since the days of our fathers have we been in a great trespass unto this day; and for our iniquities have we, our kings, and our priests, been delivered into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity, and to a spoil, and to confusion of face, as it is this day.
Psalms 35:4: Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt. 26 Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at mine hurt: let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify themselves against me. 44:15 My confusion is continually before me, and the shame of my face hath covered me, 70:2 Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt. 71:1 In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion. 109:29 Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own confusion, as with a mantle.
Isaiah 41:29: Behold, they are all vanity; their works are nothing: their molten images are wind and confusion. 45:16 They shall be ashamed, and also confounded, all of them: they shall go to confusion together that are makers of idols.
Jeremiah 3:25: We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covereth us: for we have sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God. 19 Do they provoke me to anger? saith the LORD: do they not provoke themselves to the confusion of their own faces? 20:11 But the LORD is with me as a mighty terrible one: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail: they shall be greatly ashamed; for they shall not prosper: their everlasting confusion shall never be forgotten.
Daniel 9:7: O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee. 8 O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee.
Acts 19:29: And the whole city was filled with confusion: and having caught Gaius and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia, Paul*s companions in travel, they rushed with one accord into the theatre.
2 Thessalonians 3:6: Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us. 7 For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you; 11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
James 3:16: For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
Our world is full of confusion today. Our world needs the Lord and His will.
