The Owners Of Joy
The Bible teaches just about everything we need to know about the owners and source of joy and what things have to happen to cause happiness.
John 15:11: These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

Job 5:17: Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:
Psalms 144:15: Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the LORD.
Psalms 146:5: Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:
Proverbs 3:13: Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
Proverbs 14:21: He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he.
Proverbs 16:20: He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he.
Proverbs 29:18: Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
Proverbs 28:14: Happy is the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief.

That ever carries about with him that reverential and filial fear of God, which will lead him to avoid sin, and labour to do that which is lawful and right in the sight of God his Saviour.
