The Wisest People
The less we trust the Lord, the more foolish we are. The biggest fools do not trust Him at all.
Psalms 53:1: The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.
The wisest people are those who have received Jesus, study the Bible and obey it, ask the Lord for wisdom, live and walk in the Spirit and hear the Bible taught by other Spirit-filled believers. They faithfully attend the most Biblical church they can find. If we neglect any of those areas, we will not be as wise as we can be or as wise as God wants us to be.
Proverbs 4:5: Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. 7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding 16:16 How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!
Proverbs 9:10: The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
James 1:5: If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
Psalms 51:6: Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
Ecclesiastes 2:26a: For God giveth to a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that is good before God. . . .
2 Timothy 2:15: Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
2 Timothy 3:16: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
James 3:13: Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. 17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
1 Corinthians 3:19: For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
