Transubstantiation

Transubstantiation is the belief of some that grape juice, wine, bread or wafers ingested during communion are or become the body and blood of Jesus Christ. I was just as mean, self-centered and fearful of condemnation after I participated in communion as before. I have also known many other individuals in whose lives participation in communion made no noticeable difference. When I received Jesus into my heart, He made many changes in me. Since I have received Him, communion has become a wonderful reminder of Him and what He has done for me.

Luke 22:19: And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.

I have known hundreds who became new creatures with changed lives when they received Jesus Christ into their hearts. I have known none who became new creatures with changed lives when they ingested wine and bread into their stomachs.

2 Corinthians 5:17: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

We only need to become new creatures once. Since I have received Jesus, He forgives me for my sin whenever I ask Him to, not when I eat something or when I drink something.

1 John 1:9: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Proverbs 28:13: He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

I forsook many sins after I received Jesus. Before I received Him, I never forsook any sins as a result of participating in communion. I have known many who have forsaken many sins after they received Christ. I have known none who forsook their sins after receiving communion.

Romans 8:16: The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

Before I received Jesus nothing and no one bore witness with my dead and unhearing spirit (heart) that my sins were forgiven and that I was a child of God. Since I have received Jesus, I have that witness whenever I need it. I don*t need a mortal man to tell me that my sins are forgiven or that I am a child of God. We need to hear those things from the Holy Spirit Himself. No mortal man is able to look upon my heart and know if it is dead in sins and deaf to God or if it is alive unto God and able to hear Him.

Romans 6:11: Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

John 10:27: My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

1 Samuel 16:7: But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.

2 Corinthians 6:14: Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

Communion means partnership, participation, social intercourse, pecuniary benefaction, to communicate, communication, communion, distribution, contribution or fellowship. It is communication between God and those who have already been forgiven and made alive unto Him. It is also communication among His forgiven ones. Those forgiven ones have in common that they know that they were forgiven when they received Jesus, not when they participated in communion. None of them knew those things before they received Christ.
