When Life Stinks

Romans 8:28: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

When life stinks, God has a purpose for it and when you figure out His purpose, you can often get rid of the stink.

When life stinks Jesus wants you to receive Him and give Him charge over your heart and life. When you have done that, for you there can be several other reasons your life stinks: You need to think of Him more often, you need to think of Him more highly, you need to obey Him, you need humility before Him, you need to serve Him, you need to know Him better, you need His chastening, you need to learn something from Him, you need a Comforter, you need to comfort someone else, you may be persecuted so that He will bless you or you may be quenching the Holy Spirit.

John 10:10b: . . . I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4: Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; 4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
