When Someone Sins Against You
How do you react when someone sins against you? Is it anything like Jesus, Stephen or the Apostles?
Luke 23:34a: Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. . . .
Acts 7:60: And he (Stephen) kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.
1 Corinthians 4:12-13: And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it: 13 Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day.
Do you obey this command of Jesus?
Matthew 5:44: But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Do you deal with them mercifully, as God has dealt with you?
Psalms 103:10: He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
Do you pray the Lord*s prayer and mean it?
Matthew 6:12 . . . 15: And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. . . . 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
