Who Knows Best
Who do you believe knows best, you or God? God ALWAYS knows best and that should be the deciding factor in every decision we make. Compared with Him, none of us are any better than fools. Comparing our knowledge and wisdom to His is like comparing nothing to everything. Strangely, multitudes believe that they know better than God and prove it by living like they know better. They make their decisions without even consulting Him who knows all things, much less obeying Him. They refuse to study the Bible to learn what He wants to teach them. They refuse to surrender to His vastly superior knowledge.
1 John 3:20: For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
Isaiah 30:1: Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:
Job 8:9: (For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow:)
1 Corinthians 4:4: For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.
When we believe in God we must believe that He knows infinitely more than we do, otherwise we believe in a false and non-existent God. There are many unbelievers and even many believers who are ignorant that God has infinite knowledge and live as if they know better than He does. The wiser a believer becomes the more He will understand that God*s knowledge is so far above His own that He needs to be taught by God, he is willing to be taught by God and is willing to obey Him. We desperately need to know the All-Knowing One and that He is all-knowing. Ignorance that He is all-knowing will have disastrous results. As new believers, we will not fully understand this great truth, but we should not remain like new believers for a lifetime, as many do. We should learn again and again that He always knows best and we should never forget that. In believing that He knows best and obeying Him, we can avoid all sorts of pitfalls that He knows about and that we don*t know about.
Proverbs 1:7: The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. 9:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
Psalms 73:22: So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before thee.
He wants to teach us everything we need to know and He is the only one who can. He knows exactly what we need to know. He gave us the Bible and Bible teachers and sends us the Holy Spirit for that very purpose.
John 14:26: But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
He even knows what we do not need to know.
Deuteronomy 29:29: The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.
He teaches all of us enough that we are without any excuse for our unbelief and ignorance of Him.
Romans 1:20: For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
