Trying to help both Israel AND their avowed enemies is not blessing Israel.
My brother in the Lord and mentor, Horst Adler provided Biblical answers to the question in the title of this article:
Because America is sinning against the GOD of the Universe!
She has vilified the Bible, prayer to the God of Heaven, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
She has removed the Ten Commandments from the public square.
She has educated our children with secular humanism.
She has allowed 54 million abortions of babies since 1973.
She has normalized fornication and adulterous life styles.
She has normalized and glorified homosexual behavior.
She is dabbling in transgenderism.
She is filled with pornography.
Her children regularly are fixed on violent computer games.
The entertainment industry glamorizes loose sex, vice and violence.
The most popular songs advance lyrics that model loose and lascivious lifestyles.
And most of the popular mega church pastors are preaching a false Gospel.
And MOST of the pew sitters do not know the difference. Sigh !!
And THEREFORE: My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, (Hosea 4:6)
As a result of the recent police shootings people have cried, embraced each other, and even prayed together. While that is a good sign, it will be for naught unless there is demonstrated CHANGE in people*s behaviors. If that does not happen, all these prayers are just window dressing, and the inside of the house is still DIRTY, and God will continue to withhold HIS restraining GRACE, and violence with not only continue, but escalate.
We all know what the biblical formula is for God*s healing grace for a nation:
It is imbedded in II Chronicles 7:14 *If my people will 1. Humble themselves, 2. Pray; 3. Seek my face. 4. AND TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sins, and heal their land.*
So, will we turn from our *WICKED WAYS?* that is the question.
*Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.* (Psalm 100:3)
