Wisdom Is The Principal Thing

James 1:5: If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

A wise person at the first only needs to know two things. One. God is the source of wisdom. Two. He can ask God for it. A wise person will receive Christ into his heart, ask the Lord for more wisdom, study the Bible, meditate on it, find the best teachers of it, pray and obey the Lord.

1 Corinthians 2:16: For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Proverbs 4:7: Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

James 3:13: Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. 14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. 15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. 16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. 17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. 18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

Proverbs 9:10: The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

Exodus 36:2: And Moses called Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whose heart the LORD had put wisdom, even every one whose heart stirred him up to come unto the work to do it:

1 Kings 3:8: And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude. 9 Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people? 10 And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. 11 And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment; 12 Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.

Proverbs 10:8: The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall. 11:29 He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart. 16:21 The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning. 23 The heart of the wise teacheth his mouth, and addeth learning to his lips. 22:17 Bow down thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply thine heart unto my knowledge. 23:15 My son, if thine heart be wise, my heart shall rejoice, even mine. 19 Hear thou, my son, and be wise, and guide thine heart in the way. 27:11 My son, be wise, and make my heart glad, that I may answer him that reproacheth me.

Ecclesiastes 8:5: Whoso keepeth the commandment shall feel no evil thing: and a wise man*s heart discerneth both time and judgment. 10:2 A wise man*s heart is at his right hand; but a fool*s heart at his left.

James 1:5: If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
