Yield Yourselves Unto The Lord

2 Chronicles 30:8: Now be ye not stiffnecked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves unto the LORD, and enter into his sanctuary, which he hath sanctified for ever: and serve the LORD your God, that the fierceness of his wrath may turn away from you.

Yield yourselves unto the LORD. That is what faith does. It is what humility does. It is what pride does not do. Faith is not just a passing thought, it takes action. Faith enters His sanctuary. (Church) Faith serves the Lord. Faith seeks His will. Faith obeys Him. Faith turns His wrath away. If any individual has not yielded himself to the Lord, He does not have faith in the Lord.

Receiving Jesus is yielding yourself to Him. If you have never received Jesus, yield yourself to Him. When believers slip into some sin, they should yield themselves to Him. In every decision yield yourself to Him. When you don*t know what to do next yield yourself to Him. When you can*t solve some problem, yield yourself to Him. When you have doubts, yield yourself to Him.

To our shame, even believers have lapses of faith when we do not yield ourselves unto the Lord.

Yield yourselves unto the Lord is the command that every false religion, every idolater and every carnal Christian disobeys. It is the command that every believer enduring the chastisement of God has disobeyed. It is the command that we cannot afford to forget or disobey, even for a moment.
